Megan was a twelve year old seventh grader who loved to pass notes in
class. Her and her best friend Nick (who has had a crush on her for awhile, but Megan
has no clue that he likes her) like to pass notes in class.
Then one day when her and
Nick were passing notes, she received a note from him asking if she wanted to come
over after school. Megan answered back by writing, "YES, I’d luv 2!" but before she
could give it to him the bell rang and everyone rushed out the door.
Nick stood out
in the hallway waiting for Megan to come out, but didn't see her. Then Megan came up
from behind him and said, "Here," and handed him the note and walked away.
Nick read
the note then ran after her to ask what time she was going to come over. Megan
paused as she saw Nick running towards her. Then Nick asked what time, her reply
was, "Umm.. around 7 or so." Nick said okay, then watched her walk away.
Later that night before Megan was going to go over to Nick's she decided to call
him first. So she picked up her phone and dialed his number. The phone rang two
times then someone answered and said, "Hello?" "Hi, is Nick there?" she asked.
"Who wants to know?" asked the man.
"Well umm his best friend Megan," she
answered.
"Oh its you Megan," he said.
"Who's this?" she asked.
"It's me Nick's
brother," he responded.
"Oh, I didn't know that he had a brother," she replied
a little shocked that she had never met or heard of his brother.
"Yeah, I'm his
older brother, Ty," answered Ty.
"Oh, well is Nick there?" she asked.
"Yeah," Ty
answered.
"Well may I speak with him?" she asked.
"Well he's a little busy right
now but I'll tell that your coming over," he answered.
"Ok, well thanks," she
said.
Right when she was about to walk out the door she realized that he had
said, "But I'll tell that your coming over," but she had never told him that she
was coming over. She just forgot about it and walked to his house.
When she got to his house, he invited her in and she sat down on his couch. "So,
where is he?" she asked.
"Huh, where's who?" he asked in confusion.
"You know
your brother Ty," she said.
"What? how do you know about my older brother I
never told you about him before?" he asked, still in confusion and a little
shocked.
"Oh, well I talked to him today," she replied.
"What do you mean you
talked to him on the phone are you joking around with me?" he asked a little
flustered at this.
"No, I'm not joking. I called your house today and he answered
the phone," she said.
"THAT'S A LIE! HOW CAN HE ANSWER THE PHONE WHEN HE'S
DEAD!" Nick yelled with tears in his eyes.
"Oh my Gosh, I'm so sorry, but I'm not
kidding. He answered the phone," she said.
